Tipi Spaces have worked in a variety of inspiring venues across the West Country and beyond. Here are a few that we recommend to our tipi clients:
Bodrugan Barton is a very special place. Located on the Roseland Heritage Coast near Mevagissey in Cornwall in an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Where countryside meets coastline; surrounded by rolling green pastures and stunning views out to sea. A family home and working farm offering luxury holiday cottages and glamping accommodation to holiday makers. It also offers venues for retreats and a limited number of weddings and events each year.
The meadow overlooking the South Cornish coast is a particularly unique and idyllic spot to celebrate your wedding. It is the perfect tipi venue offering incredible views on firm, level ground. It has great access with a range of accommodation available on site for you to make the most of this wonderful place. Sally and Tim Kendall are also dream hosts.
The Kingsmead Centre is set in the beautiful Blackdown Hills on the border of Devon and Somerset. It provides a discreet and peaceful setting for the perfect woodland tipi wedding. Onsite toilets and power mean you do not need to hire porta loos or generators. There is a variety of accommodation available on site including static caravans, glamping tents and camping pitches for you to extend your wedding. Tristan and Jodie are lovely hosts.
Escot is an exceptional place. From the elegant manor house and wildlife park, to the surrounding 1500 acres of Devon countryside. Don’t be put off by its Georgian grandeur. Sir John- Michael and Lady Kennaway (better known as Mish and Lucy) are generous hosts and exceptionally relaxed when it comes to events at their home. Escot plays host every August to Beautiful Days as well as countless other outdoor festivals and events within their grounds as well as more intimate corporate retreats and weddings inside the house. The Georgian manor house was one of the first private venues to be licensed for weddings in 1996 and can host up to 120 seated guests. Larger tipi weddings and events can also be hosted in the parkland and there are plenty of amusements available from Devon Country Pursuits. It is in a great location too within easy access of Exeter, the A30 and M5 yet.
Charlotte has been planning weddings and events for over twenty years in London, Sydney and the South West. She is also a venue consultant so is very knowledgeable about West Country venues. Do get in touch if you need help to find a venue for your wedding or event.
